POSTER

Poster Sessions are scheduled for Wednesday 5th and Thursday 6th (from 14:00 to 15:00 and from 19:00 to 21:00) and Friday 7th (from 14:00 to 15:00). Posters should be mounted on Wednesday 5th before 14:00. Posters should be removed at the end of the poster session on Friday 6th. The poster mounting area will be 90cm x 120cm and will have your Poster ID Number. Push pins will be available for your use.

The abstract you submitted will be included in the program booklet that participants will receive upon registration.

ORAL PRESENTATIONS

The length of the presentation should be no more than 10 minutes; a question and answer period of 5 minutes will follow.

Please prepare easy-to-follow visual aids using Power Point (.ppt) or similar presentation software.

At the meeting site, the following equipment will be available:

CIPF staff will be on hand to set up the equipment and provide some assistance to those speakers who bring their own computers.

PowerPoint Presentations – General

  1. Computers available at the meeting will run PowerPoint 2010. Save your file as a normal PowerPoint file (.ppt) and PDF file (.pdf).
  2. All presentations must run on the Windows operating system. Conference computers will run on Windows 7. If possible, please create your presentation on the same version of Windows or at least test it on this version before submitting it.
  3. PowerPoint presentations for Wednesday 5th must be submitted in advance of the conference by November 4th. Name your PowerPoint file with the presenter author’s last name_First initial, e.g., Doe_J.
  4. Bring one copy of your presentation to the conference on a USB media storage device. This copy is to be used as a backup by you and the conference organizers if required. As an additional backup measure, consider saving an extra copy of your presentation on your web-accessible local server.
  5. Conference organizers will load all presentations on conference computers. Presenters are allowed to use their own laptop computers. Apple computers will NOT be available. If you bring your own Apple computer, please notice that we do not have projector adapters, therefore you should bring your own.
